1049 Down to the Seas Again
This work was inspired by a lovely Fall day with friends on a hike around Gaff Point a few years back. I was intrigued by the view of the ocean and the dramatic rock formation. When I look at this image, I see a large vessel containing the many stories of the sea and its draw, from ancient times to the present day. Little has changed in the pull of its beauty and the small figure on a rock precipice invites the viewer into the vista where anything is possible. The title of this work is a line from the poem, Sea Fever by John Masefield.
